Last Tuesday, a 20 year old woman who was having a drink with her father in a male orientated Montreal [tag]gay bar[/tag] was asked by the staff to leave.
Audrey Vachon was not amused- and has lodged a complaint against the owners of the bar with the Quebec Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The commision will decide if the complaint is acceptable and if so will first encourage the two parties to come to an agreement. If this proves impossible, the case could be referred to a tribunal.
Seems a bit unfair to me, I think she should have just left quietly- after all imagine the uproar if a man turned up at a woman’s club- think we should just leave the boys to have their fun. I also find it a bit odd that a 20 year old and her father cannot find somewhere slightly more suitable to go for a slurp.
