Last Tuesday, a 20 year old woman who was having a drink with her father in a male orientated Montreal [tag]gay bar[/tag] was asked by the staff to leave.

The bar named ‘Le Stud’ is situated in Montreal’s gay villiage, and prides itself on being “one of the most hard, manly, and virile establishments in town.” (more…)

Warning about the Consumption of Alcohol

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Consumption of [tag]alcohol[/tag] may make you think you are whispering when you are not.

Consumption of alcohol may cause you to tell the same boring story over and over again until your friends want to hit you.

Consumption of alcohol may lead you to believe that ex-lovers are really dying for you to telephone them at 4 in the morning.

Consumption of alcohol may leave you wondering what the hell happened to your clothes.

Consumption of alcohol may cause you to roll over in the morning and see something really scary (whose name, and/or species you can’t remember).

Consumption of alcohol is the leading cause of inexplicable rug burns on the forehead.

Consumption of alcohol may lead to traffic signs and cones appearing in your home- not to mention the odd bar stool.

Consumption of alcohol may lead you to believe you are invisible.

Consumption of alcohol may make you think you possess mystical Kung-Fu powers.

Consumption of alcohol may cause an influx in the time-space continuum, whereby small (and sometimes large) gaps of time may seem to literally disappear.

Consumption of alcohol may cause pregnancy.

A brain entered a bar…

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

A brain entered a [tag]bar[/tag] and ordered a [tag]beer.[/tag].

The bartender took one look at him and said “I’m sorry, but I can’t serve you”.

“Why not?” asked the brain.

The [tag]bartender[/tag] replied “Because you are already out of your head.”

Bar Pub Chat- 25 years of bar experiences- some good, some bad and some quite unbelievable

Tuesday, May 29th, 2007

I decided to create after working in the [tag]bar trade[/tag] for over 25 years. I began at the age of 16, working as a bar waitress in a pub in [tag]Lloret de Mar[/tag] in the North of Spain. I had some fun experiences over the years working [tag]temp bar jobs[/tag] in [tag]London bars[/tag] and also in my home town of Brighton, a tourist hot spot in the [tag]South of England[/tag].

After a few years and a variety of [tag]bartending jobs[/tag], I became a [tag]bar manageress[/tag], then a [tag]bar owner[/tag]. I finally quit the trade a few years ago after becoming sick of my customers, so now I spend more time on the other side of the jump, but am thinking of dabbling again, as there are so many aspects I miss.
In this blog I will be discussing bars I have visited, bars I have worked in, [tag]bar characters[/tag] I have met,[tag]bar jobs[/tag], also subjects such as [tag]bar furniture,[/tag] [tag]best tactics[/tag] for dealing with [tag]awkward customers[/tag], great [tag]drink recipes[/tag], and a multitude of other bar and pub subjects.
